Kellie M. Martin is an American television and film actress. Her most well-known role is for her role as Christy Huddleston, Rebecca Thatcher as well as Lucy Knight on the series ER. Her other roles of note include her title character in her role in the Hailey Dean Mystery series. Born to a department store owner and a kindergarten teacher Martin started her career in acting in the age of seven years old when her aunt who worked as a nanny for Michael Landon's children helped her land her a role in the 1982 show "Father Murphy.". Following her graduation of Yale University she began to take acting seriously, landing roles on both the small screen and big. Martin is, in addition to acting, she is also a talented photographer and ballet dancer. She is a mother of two children and is the face of Lupus. Since her 19-year-old sister's death Martin has been trying to spread awareness of the condition.
