Sadie Amara Calvano has become famous for the role of Violet Plunkett that she played in the CBS show Mom. Calvano born in California had a first interest in competing gymnastics. However, she later decided to focus on acting as a profession. She debuted on the screen in 2010 in the CBS show 'NCIS. The biographical crime thriller movie J Edgar was her big screen debut just a year after. Over the years she's been recognized as one of the most promising young actresses within the field today. In 2011, she was awarded nominated to the Young Artist Award, Best Performance of an Actor in the Younger Years of Actress in a Television Series for her part in "NCIS". In 2013 she was also nominated for yet another Young Artist Award for her guest appearance in Disney XD's comedy show 'Kickin' it'. Calvano was part of the ensemble cast of Mom during its initial three years and appeared at least a few times in the fourth. The year 2015 was the year she received the Gracie Allen Award of Outstanding Female Actor - Rising Star for her appearance in Mom.
